Warranty
Warranty & Support
A Mothership van is made from three main pieces:
The base vehicle
The Mothership build (interior, systems, integration)
Third-party products such as structural components, power systems, and appliances
Each is covered by a different warranty. This page explains, in simple terms, how that breaks down.
Mothership Craftsmanship Warranty
Our Build · 1 Year · Service in San Diego
Mothership build work and modifications are covered for one year against defects in workmanship.
This warranty applies to:
Interior construction, cabinetry, walls, and ceilings
Built-in furniture and storage
Mounting and integration of systems and components
Fit, finish, and alignment of Mothership-installed elements
If a defect in workmanship appears under normal use within the first year, Mothership will repair or replace the affected work at its facility in San Diego, California.
Coverage applies only to work performed by Mothership
Travel, towing, mobile service, and third-party repair costs are not included
Base Vehicle Warranty
The underlying van is covered by the original vehicle manufacturer warranty.
That factory warranty generally applies to:
Drivetrain and chassis (where applicable)
Factory electronics and safety systems
Structural and factory-installed components
Coverage details and claim procedures are set by the vehicle manufacturer and handled through their service network.
Structural Systems (Shells, Roof Systems, Camper Structures)
Some builds include structural products produced by other companies, such as shells, camper structures, or roof systems.
Those products are covered by the company that manufactures them, under their own warranty. That coverage typically applies to:
Structural elements and panels
Moving parts, mechanisms, and seals
The Mothership craftsmanship warranty applies only to the work Mothership performs to integrate and finish around those components, not to the underlying product itself.
Systems, Batteries & Appliances
Each Mothership van uses third-party components, which may include:
Electrical and power hardware (inverters, chargers, controls)
Lithium batteries and battery management systems
Heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
Appliances (refrigerators, microwaves, cooktops, etc.)
Connectivity equipment (routers, antennas, satellite hardware)
These items are covered, where applicable, by their own manufacturer warranties.
Mothership does not extend or replace those warranties
Coverage length, conditions, and service steps are defined by each manufacturer
Batteries are treated the same way, under the battery manufacturer’s standard warranty
Owners should review the warranty information supplied with each component for exact terms.
What the Mothership Craftsmanship Warranty Does Not Cover
The Mothership craftsmanship warranty does not cover:
The base vehicle or any factory systems
Structural products (shells, camper structures, roof systems) beyond their own manufacturer warranties
Batteries, appliances, electronics, and other components beyond their own manufacturer warranties
Damage from accidents, impacts, misuse, abuse, or neglect
Normal wear, fading, discoloration, and age-related changes
Environmental damage (corrosion, UV exposure, hail, storms, natural disasters)
Work modified or repaired by others without prior authorization
Costs related to travel, towing, mobile service, or off-site repairs
