Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 2025

Applies to: mothershipvans.com, our online forms, email/SMS marketing, sales & support communications, and service scheduling (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Short version: We collect contact and usage info to respond to inquiries, process orders, and improve the site. We don’t sell your data. You can opt out of marketing any time and exercise privacy rights described below.

1) Who we are

“Mothership Vans,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the entity operating the Services. Contact details are in Section 13.

2) What we collect

We collect information in three ways: (a) you provide it, (b) it’s collected automatically, or (c) we receive it from third parties (e.g., financing or insurance partners at your direction).

A. Information you provide

  • Identifiers & contact: name, email, phone, postal address.

  • Professional/vehicle interests: platform preference (Van/Cybertruck), intended use, configuration notes.

  • Communications: messages, support requests, survey responses.

  • Transactional: order intent, invoices, delivery and service scheduling details.

  • Financing/insurance pre-qualification (optional): we may facilitate introductions; sensitive financial data is collected and processed by the lender/insurer, not by us.

  • User content: images or documents you choose to share (e.g., trade-in photos).

B. Information collected automatically

  • Device/usage data: IP address, cookie IDs, pages viewed, time on page, referrers, approximate location (from IP), and interactions with forms/links.

  • Cookies & similar tech: first-party cookies for site functionality and analytics; third-party pixels for performance measurement and (optional) advertising attribution. See Section 8.

C. Information from third parties

  • Lead & analytics partners: basic campaign, referral, or audience data.

  • Financing/insurance partners (only if you apply): application status and non-sensitive metadata needed to coordinate your build (e.g., approval/decline, funded/not funded). We do not receive your full financial statements unless you send them to us directly.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (see Section 10).

3) How we use information

  • Provide & operate the Services: respond to inquiries, schedule calls, prepare quotes, process orders, deliver vehicles, and support owners.

  • Customer support & safety: diagnostics, warranty and service coordination, and recalls/urgent notices.

  • Business operations: accounting, auditing, compliance, fraud prevention, and security.

  • Improvement & research: site performance, content effectiveness, and product planning (aggregate/de-identified where possible).

  • Marketing & communications: send updates with your consent or as permitted by law; you can opt out anytime (see Section 7).

  • Legal: enforce terms, protect rights, comply with law.

Legal bases (EU/UK residents)

We rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests (e.g., site security, service improvement), consent (e.g., marketing cookies), and legal obligations.

4) How we share information

We share information with:

  • Service providers/Processors: hosting, email/SMS, analytics, customer support, document storage, payment processing. They may access personal data only to perform services for us, under contract.

  • Financing/insurance partners (at your request): when you ask us to introduce or transmit build documentation.

  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

  • Legal & safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, property, and safety.

We do not sell personal information. We may “share” limited online identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising only with your consent where required; you can opt out (see Section 7 and Section 11).

5) Data retention

We keep personal data as long as needed for the purposes above, including:

  • Sales/support records: typically 3–7 years (tax/audit requirements may extend this).

  • Marketing preferences: until you opt out or your account is inactive for a defined period.

  • Website logs: short, rolling periods unless required for security/investigation.
We may retain de-identified or aggregated data.

6) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No system is perfect; transmission is at your own risk.

7) Your choices

  • Marketing: Unsubscribe links are in every marketing email; reply “STOP” to SMS where available.

  • Cookies: Manage preferences via our cookie banner or your browser settings (see Section 8).

  • Financing/insurance: You control whether we share build docs with a lender or insurer.

8) Cookies & similar technologies

We use:

  • Essential cookies for core site features (cannot be disabled).

  • Analytics cookies to understand site usage (e.g., page performance).

  • Advertising/measurement pixels to assess campaigns and, where permitted, show relevant ads.
You can adjust preferences in our cookie banner and in your browser. “Do Not Track” signals are not consistently recognized; use the controls noted above.

9) International transfers

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your data may be processed in the U.S. We use appropriate safeguards when transferring data internationally (e.g., SCCs where applicable).

10) Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to delete it.

11) California & other U.S. state notices

A. Notice at collection (categories & purposes)

We collect identifiers, contact info, commercial information (orders/inquiries), internet/usage data, and limited geolocation (approximate) for the purposes described in Section 3. We do not collect “sensitive personal information” unless you provide it for financing/insurance (processed primarily by those partners).

B. Sale/share & targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We may “share” limited online identifiers with advertising/measurement partners for cross-context behavioral advertising only with your consent. You can opt out via our cookie banner or by contacting us.

C. Your state privacy rights

Subject to law, you may have the right to know/access, correct, delete, opt out of sale/share/targeted ads, and non-discrimination. To exercise rights, see Section 13. We will verify your request and, where permitted, accept requests from authorized agents.

12) EU/UK data subject rights

Subject to law, you may have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, portability, and withdraw consent. To exercise, see Section 13. You can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

When submitting a request, include your name, contact info, relationship to us (e.g., prospect, customer), and the right you wish to exercise. We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by applicable law.

14) Third-party links & services

Our site may link to third-party websites or services (e.g., financing or insurance portals). Their privacy practices are their own; review their policies.
